Modernize a legacy system without stopping the business
Start with an audit: from $2,000, 1-2 weeks, credited into the project if you continue. You get a plan with risks, order of work and cost - and decide whether to continue with us or take the report to any team.
Who comes to us
Systems that earn money and cannot be switched off for a rewrite. The pain is usually one of these.
- The system works, but every change takes weeks and breaks something else.
- The people who built it are gone, and nobody dares to touch the server.
- The framework or language version is out of support, and the hosting provider is asking you to migrate.
- You want AI features - search, document processing, assistants - but the current architecture does not allow them.
What you get
First control over the system, then changes. In that order, every time.
-
Audit report
What exists, what is at risk, in what order to fix it and what it costs. Written, with a call to walk through it.
-
Restored control
Repository, deployment from a single command, backups that were actually tested. Before any new features.
-
Step-by-step replacement
Modules replaced one at a time behind stable APIs, on supported versions of language, framework and database. The system keeps serving users the whole time.
-
AI layer on top
Search over the system's data, document processing, assistants for staff - connected through an API without touching the core.
How we work
Read-only access first, a written plan second, changes last - each one reversible.
-
Access and call
Days 1-2We get read-only access to code, servers and database and hear what hurts most.
-
Audit
Weeks 1-2Code, architecture, infrastructure, security, backups. A report with ranked risks and a plan with estimates. from $2,000.
-
Stabilize
Weeks 3-4Backups, deployment, monitoring, the most urgent fixes. The system becomes safe to change.
-
Modernize in stages
By scopeEach stage has a price agreed before it starts and a visible result: an upgraded module, a new integration, an AI feature.
Price and timeline
- Audit Code, data, infrastructure, ranked risks and a plan with estimates; credited into the project if you continue 1-2 weeks from $2,000
- Modernization stage First stage: stabilize, extract the first module, deploy and roll back on its own 4-6 weeks from $8,000
- Support Monitoring, updates, small changes, incident response per month from $750/mo
- Hourly rate Hourly rate for extras, integrations and anything non-standard - no minimum package any scope $75/hour

The audit report is yours whether or not we continue; if you do, its price is credited into the project. The first stage takes 4-6 weeks, next stages are by scope; their prices come from the audit and are agreed before each stage starts - so you see the full cost before committing to anything beyond from $2,000.
Questions we get asked
Our developer left and nobody understands the system. Can you take it over?
Yes, that is the most common case. The audit is the takeover: we document what exists, restore the ability to deploy and back up, and only then plan changes.
Do we have to rewrite everything?
Usually no. We prefer step-by-step replacement: isolate a module, put it behind an API, replace it, repeat. The system keeps working the whole time and every step can be rolled back.
Which technologies do you work with?
Python and TypeScript / Node.js on the backend, React on the frontend, PostgreSQL and MySQL, Docker and nginx. Older stacks are part of the job: we read the code before we change it and replace it in stages rather than rewriting.
How much does modernization cost after the audit?
By scope, each stage priced before it starts; the first milestone starts from $8,000, ongoing support from $750/mo. The audit gives you the stages and their estimates; you can start with one stage or take the report to another team.
Other directions
Request an audit
Tell us what the system does and what hurts most - we come back and agree on read-only access.
- We reply within one business day - to the contact you leave here.
- A few written questions - a call once the scope is clear.
- You get the direction, the first step and its price in writing.
